About us

Three Shires Hospital is part of Circle Health Group, the UK's largest independent healthcare provider. Located on the beautiful grounds of St Andrews Healthcare, in Northampton.

Three Shires Hospital offers patients fast and easy access to treatment for over 33 different specialities and we currently have over 110 Consultants who choose to practice here. Our facilities, combined with modern technology and on-site support services, enable our consultants to undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigations to complex surgery.

We continue to pride ourselves on high standards of care, and we're delighted to have been recognised as  'Good' by the Care Quality Commission, with an 'Outstanding' rating awarded in 2019 for our Private MRI Ultrasound and x-ray service. Our Consultant Specialists are supported by a team of caring and professional medical staff, with dedicated nursing teams and a Resident Medical Officer on duty 24 hours a day, providing care within a friendly and comfortable environment.

Appointments for most specialities are available within 48 hours and are arranged at a time to suit you, whether that be during the day or in the evening. We see patients on both an insured and self-pay basis, those with private medical insurance should check their policy details with their provider prior to attending any appointments.

You can self-refer for a majority of our services without the need for a referral from your GP. We also see NHS patients - simply speak to your GP and ask if you can get referred to us!

From the moment you contact the hospital our staff are here to help and you will be greeted with a friendly smile. We provide information and reassurance about your diagnosis and treatment whether you are attending as an outpatient or being admitted for surgery, our staff and process are designed to put you at ease.
