What happens during my assessment?

Your prostate health check will begins with a consultation, where your clinician will discuss your medical history, family history, lifestyle, and any urinary symptoms. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and discuss any concerns before your assessment begins.

Following the consultation, depending on the package you choose, your assessment may include:

• A PSA blood test to help assess your prostate health.
• A urine test
• A urinary flow test to measure how well your bladder empties
• A symptom questionnaire to better understand your prostate health

Your clinician may also recommend a digital rectal examination (DRE). During this examination, a gloved, lubricated finger is gently inserted into the back passage (rectum) to assess the size, shape, and texture of your prostate. The examination is quick and may feel slightly uncomfortable, but it should not be painful.

If you choose our advanced prostate health check package, your assessment will also include a prostate MRI scan, providing detailed images of the prostate to help identify any areas that may require further investigation.
