Latest advice for patients attending appointments

Our hospitals remain open and treating patients. We're working hard to keep our services up and running and have added additional safety measures and checks to help protect our patients and staff. You can continue to book new consultations with us, and please assume existing appointments are going ahead unless you hear from us otherwise.

  • Diagnostic imaging, x-ray, ultrasound, 1.5T MRI, digital mammography
  • 20 consulting rooms and 24 modern inpatient bedrooms
  • Physiotherapy and sports injuries
  • Four operating theatres
  • An ambulatory care ward
  • A dedicated outpatient building

BMI Healthcare is proud to have joined forces with Circle Health Group in January 2020. BMI The Highfield Hospital is now The Highfield Hospital and is benefitting from a major £250m national investment programme in facilities, technology and people.

The Highfield Hospital has 47 beds with most rooms offering the privacy and comfort of en-suite facilities and satellite TV. The hospital has four theatres and an Extended Recovery Area.

These facilities combined with the latest in technology and on-site support services, enable our consultants to undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigations to complex surgery. This specialist expertise is supported by caring and professional medical staff, with dedicated nursing teams and Resident Medical Officers on duty 24 hours a day, providing care within a friendly and comfortable environment.

All our bedrooms are for single occupancy and many offer the comfort of en-suite facilities with a bath or shower. They also have satellite television for your personal use. There is, of course, immediate access to nursing support via the nurse call system and rooms are supplied with piped oxygen and suction.

Our range of nutritious menus is designed to tempt even the smallest appetite. Should you require a special diet, our Head Chef will be pleased to discuss this with you personally.

Visiting hours are flexible. However, we usually ask that visitors leave by 10pm, in order not to disturb patient recovery. We encourage parents to stay overnight with their children and facilities are available upon request.
