Jane, Clinical Services Manager and HFEA Person Responsible for The Fertility Centre at The Priory Hospital, trained as a Clinical Embryologist at Birmingham Women's Hospital in 1985 and was part of the team that achieved Birmingham's first IVF birth. In 1989, she joined The Priory Hospital and established The Fertility Centre. She is committed to leading and supporting a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and the highest standards of fertility treatment.
Senior Clinical Embryologist Fertility Centre Quality Manager, Melanie has a BSc degree in Anatomy and Developmental Biology and then went on the gain a PhD in Developmental Biology.
Melanie is a state registered Clinical Scientist and has been an ICSI qualified practitioner since 1999. Melanie is a member of the Association of Clinical Embryologists.
Senior Clinical Embryologist and Laboratory Manager, Amrit has a BSc degree in Applied Biology. She has worked at The Fertility Centre since 1995. In 2004 Amrit gained the Association of Clinical Embryologists Diploma in Clinical Embryology. Amrit is a state registered Clinical Scientist and became a registered ICSI practitioner in 2005. Amrit is a member of the Association of Clinical Embryologists and the British Fertility Society.
Hannah is a HCPC registered Clinical Embryologist and has been a member of the embryology team at the Priory Hospital since 2018. She holds an BSc in Microbiology, an MRes in Biological Sciences and an MSc in Reproductive, which provide her with a strong scientific foundation for work in the IVF laboratory. She has a passion for patient care and strives to provide a personalised fertility journey for each patient. She is committed to delivering the highest standard of care and helping patients feel supported throughout their time with us.
Manjeet is a State Registered Clinical Scientist who gained a BSc in Medical Sciences (Applied Biology) in 1987. She began her career as a Clinical Embryologist in 1991, working across both NHS and private sector fertility clinics throughout the UK.
In 1996, Manjeet became an ICSI Practitioner, further developing her expertise in assisted reproduction. She went on to gain an MSc in Reproduction and Development from the University of Bristol in 2005. She is also a member of the Association of Reproductive and Clinical Scientists (ARCS).
Manjeet first joined The Priory Hospital in 2013 and returned in 2023 as a Bank Embryologist, bringing with her extensive experience gained over more than three decades in reproductive science and embryology.
Outside of her professional career, Manjeet completed a five-day trek along the Great Wall of China in May 2002, raising £2,500 for the Children in Crisis charity.
Cate is a trainee clinical embryologist who joined the team in 2024. She completed her bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science at the University of Birmingham and began the Scientific Training Programme (STP) specialising in clinical embryology in September 2025.
She performs assisted reproductive techniques in both andrology and embryology whilst attending Manchester Metropolitan University to complete her MSc in Clinical Embryology as a part of the STP.
Mackenzie is a trainee clinical embryologist who has been at the Priory since 2022 while competing her bachelor's degree in biomedical science. She graduated in 2025 from the University of Worcester and is looking to further her training at the Priory.
Mackenzie performs semen analysis and is responsible for setting up laboratory paperwork and culture dishes for patients. She also interacts with patients going through or starting treatment daily, answering any questions they may have.
Claire is a Registered General Nurse and is an experienced fertility nurse having started working within the Fertility field in 1993. Claire joined The Fertility Centre at The Priory in 1998.
Claire’s duties include ultrasound scanning, early pregnancy scans and supporting patients through their treatment journey. She is also responsible for co-ordinating egg donation and shared motherhood cycles.
Katie worked as a Registered General Nurse before training for a degree in Midwifery. Katie worked as a registered midwife before joining The Fertility Centre in 2005. Katie’s duties include ultrasound scanning, early pregnancy scans, and assisting in theatre.
She undertakes all duties associated with general fertility nursing and the care of our patients. Kate is the Sperm Donation co-ordinator responsible for the checking and importation of donor sperm whilst also co-ordinating patient treatment cycles.
Jill has worked as fertility nurse since 1996 and joined the Priory team in 2000. Jill's duties include ultrasound scanning monitoring scans and early pregnancy scans, assisting in theatre and co-ordinating treatment cycles. Jill is also the co-ordinator for NHS patients referred to the centre.
Jill has been a member of RCN fertility nurse’s forum shaping policy and protocols for fertility nurses nationally. Jill has presented work at scientific meetings and was the winner of Canadian Exchange Nurse prize.
Shante moved to The Priory fertility team at the start of 2020 from her background as a nurse within the hospital. Shante’s duties include ultrasound scans, early pregnancy scans, Intrauterine inseminations, assisting in theatre as a scrub nurse and assisting with Embryo transfers. Shante also manages all aspects and planning of fertility treatment for patients. Shante has completed Fertility training which also includes training from the British Fertility Society.
Sinchawo qualified as a Registered Nurse in Nepal in 2018 and worked in Intensive care unit before moving to UK in 2022. After 3 years as a Surgical Ward Nurse, she joined the fertility team in 2025 as a fertility nurse. She supports patients with planning their fertility treatment, provides injection teaching, Scrubs in theatre. Fluent in English, Nepali, and Urdu, she helps support our diverse patient population throughout their fertility journey.
Lisa has been a Fertility Nurse since 2017 following a varied career including thoracic surgery, pain management and training. As a Bank Nurse Lisa supports the Nursing team in all clinical duties.
Lisa’s main area of responsibility is preparing patients for treatment. Talking through the process and ensuring they understand what the treatments involves. Making sure all consent forms are completed, and necessary blood tests are done and compliant.
Helen started working at the Priory Hospital in 2009 as a ward health care assistant and also gained experience working in theatres. She left Priory to start her career in Fertility nursing at a local centre in 2018 until 2021 whereupon she joined the Fertility team at Priory. Helen brings her wealth of experience to our team and is involved in supporting the qualified staff in all aspects of clinical care and supports our patients in the scan room, theatres and during embryo transfers.
Anna qualified as a Nurse in 1984. She worked for the NHS and private sector for 25 years. Following a career break Anna joined the Priory Fertility team in 2015 as a Senior Healthcare Assistant. She brings her vast experience to the team. Anna supports couples during their treatment cycles and supports the qualified team in many aspects of clinical care including embryo transfers, assisting in theatres, chaperoning and supporting our patients during their journey.
Tina has worked at Priory Hospital in the fertility department as a HCA since August 2024. I started my health career as a Registered Midwife between 1997-2008 and left the profession to raise my children. During this time I also underwent 3 cycles of fertility treatment myself. I returned to Health Care provision in 2022 as a ward HCA since my registration had lapsed. I realised quickly that my passion still belongs to Women's Health and have been lucky enough to join the Fertility team at Priory. I have since commenced a Return to Midwifery course to use this and my own fertility experience to further assist and support our patients and staff. As a HCA, I assist the team with chaperoning scans, egg collections in Theatre, embryo transfers and general day-to-day running of the clinic.
Hannah started work at the Priory Hospital in 2014 where she started as a Room service waitress. She quickly progressed to becoming a Health Care Assistant on the wards and completed her Assistant Practitioner Certificate in 2018. She joined the Fertility team in 2022. Hannah assists the clinical staff in all areas of patient care including chaperoning, theatre, embryo transfers and supporting our patients on their journey.
Gemma started in the Fertility Centre in 2007 and is involved in all administrative duties associated with patient’s treatment cycles. She is responsible for billing and enquires, appointments, medical records management, patients enquires. She is a qualified chaperone and therefore supports the Consultants and qualified staff in clinical duties. She is also the secretarial point of contact for two of our Consultants – Mr Baghdadi and Mr Jeve.
Nicola joined The Priory Hospital in 2019 before moving to The Fertility Team in 2023 as patient administrator. Her roles range from being patient facing at reception to working behind the scenes, billing and liaising with patients and other staff members. She graduated from the University of Winchester in 2022 with an LLB before completing her LPC at the University of Law in Birmingham.
Izzy has been with the Priory Hospital for over 5 years. During this time, he has been in the role of a Patient Administrator. During his time working at the Priory, thus far, he has gained lots of knowledge and experience from working with the Preassessment Team, Self pay team and currently the Priory Hospital Fertility Centre in which as the receptionist he assists our patients both on the telephone and in person at clinic. Many have different needs and expectations, and he helps direct them to the correct professional to coordinate their care whilst with us on their fertility journey.
Astrid is a highly experienced counsellor and has been helping fertility patients many years. She has worked here at The Fertility Centre since 2000. She has Diplomas in Humanistic Counselling and Clinical Hypnotherapy.
She is a member of the British Association of Counselling Practitioners and the British Infertility Counselling Association.
