About Mr Sabah Baghdadi

Personal Profile

Mr Baghdadi has more than 30 years experience with the Fertility Centre at The Priory Hospital since its establishment in 1989. He finished his research in infertility at Birmingham University in 1992.

Part of his work was in male infertility. Mr Baghdadi was trained by and worked with the Pioneers of the time, with consultants who put their stamps on infertility work over the years, such as the late Mr Robert Sawers, who established the Priory IVF unit.

He has also worked in embryology which gave him more insight about infertility. In 1992, he joined Oxford Medical School to finish his British qualifications LMSSA, LRCP, LRCS (Licentiate of Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons).

In infertility, Mr Baghdadi has developed an excellent reputation over his 30 years vast experience, based on the individualisation of patients care. Supported by an excellent nursing and embryology team whose expertise he depends on.  Expert in treating patients at the edge of their parameters, with low ovarian reserve, extreme ages and complex pathology associated. Treat women and male fertility with IVF/ICSI/PESA/TESE.

In Gynaecological surgery I Mr Baghdadi  has operated on thousands of patients both the NHS and at The Priory Hospital with endometriosis, gynaecological conditions, fibroids, polyps, laparscopic and open surgery.

In Gynaecological endocrinology and polycystic ovaries (PCOS) he has successfully treated hundreds of patients both medically and surgically.

In recurrent miscarriages, combining his experience in surgery and previous NHS running of recurrent miscarriages clinics (1st & 2nd trimester miscarriages)  and premature labour,  Mr Baghdadi has helped many patients to achieve a successful outcome and a family. Some of theses patients had 8 miscarriages ended with successful outcome.

His patients’ satisfaction is extremely high.  This is reflected in my appraisal and letters and cards from patients. A large number of my patients are word of mouth referrals referred by friends and families and the chat groups of previous successful patients. His patients are from all over the UK.  Mr Baghdadi also has patients form overseas, Europe, Middle East and Gulf states referred by their embassy, Africa and Canada. He is also involved in egg donation programmes locally and abroad.

His motto to his patients is “There is always a way to achieve a family”. As their consultant, he is very privileged to play a very important role in making such a difference to their lives. Hundreds of successful patients still send him pictures of their children considering him as a member of the family.

Now, Mr Baghdadi is fully committed to his work at the The Priory Hospital and gives all the time to his patients at Circle Health Group.
