Manor Hospital is part of Circle Health Group, and is based in a small village called Biddenham in Bedfordshire. It used to be an old Manor House, so is a beautiful looking building, with beautiful surroundings, and garden.

  • There is parking on site, only a short distance away from the front door, and disabled parking spaces out the front of the hospital.

Manor Hospital on site facility's include:

  • 12 bedrooms, with en-suite facilities and television.
  • Visitors are welcome for inpatients, however please check with the ward for visiting hours.
  • 1 operating theatre
  • A minor ops room.
  • Imaging facilities - X-ray and Ultrasound
  • MRI and CT are referred over to our other local sites, Saxon Clinic and Three Shires.
  • 5 Consulting rooms
  • On site pharmacy for patients of the hospital
  • Physiotherapy service with a brand new physio block being refurbished at the moment to open in July 2024
  • Online bookings that can be made in a matter of minutes.
  • Our resident medical officer (RMO) is available 24 hours a day to ensure that patients are safe and cared for at all times. Should your care needs change following surgery or treatment, we may need to transfer you to another hospital. This will either be to an NHS or another Circle hospital. Transfers of care only take place when absolutely necessary.

The Manor Hospital is located in the picturesque village of Biddenham on the outskirts of Bedford, just off the A428 Bedford to Northampton road. From M1 Junction 13, take the A421 to Bedford. At the 'ASDA' roundabout follow the B5134 to Kempston/Bromham. As you approach Bromham join the A428 to Bedford and follow the signs to the hospital.

From M1 Junction 14, take the A509 signposted Newport Pagnell and Wellingborough. Join the A422 to Bedford, turning right at the Northampton A428 roundabout to Bedford. Follow the signs to the hospital.

Parking is free for all patients and visitors to The Manor Hospital.

  • You will need to call the hospital you have booked your appointment with. To do this, you can find the phone number to your hospital on your appointment letter. 

  • Please call the hospital where the patient is admitted, press zero for switchboard, and they will transfer your call to the patient’s room, or put you in touch with a nurse or a ward.
  • Yes, our hospitals have free WiFi access for our patients and visitors. 
  • Once your appointment is booked, you can request to receive a confirmation email or letter with all the necessary information. To find the confirmation email, please search your email inbox for any message from [email protected].

    You will also receive a text reminder 48 hours prior to your appointment with all the details you need. Please note that this will not be sent if the appointment is booked within 48 hours of the appointment date.
