Medical Admissions in Manchester

If you have a medical condition, and require hospital support, The Alexandra Hospital can provide the assistance you require

Medical admission refers to the process of being admitted to a hospital for treatment of a medical condition.

If you're feeling unwell and require hospital care, The Alexandra Hospital can arrange private admission for you. If you’ve already been treated at an NHS hospital—whether for an illness or post-surgery recovery—you can choose to continue your treatment with us privately

As a private patient at The Alexandra Hospital, you'll benefit from a private room with an en-suite bathroom and access to a range of high-quality facilities.

Your admission will be under the care of a consultant, and our nursing team will assist in coordinating every step of the process for you.

You have the option to self-fund your medical admission. A deposit will be required to cover the cost of your care, including any necessary tests and investigations. Please note that your consultant may invoice you separately for their services during your stay, so we advise confirming their fees in advance.

Some private health insurance policies do cover medical admissions. However, we strongly recommend contacting your insurer ahead of time to confirm your level of cover.

If your admission occurs outside of your insurer’s working hours, we will request a deposit before admission, which will be held until authorisation is received. Any amount paid beyond the cost of your treatment will be refunded to you promptly.
