Sarum Road Physiotherapy
At Sarum Road Hospital we have a growing team of experienced chartered physiotherapists ready and waiting to help you. Understanding that everyone is different, even if you have the same condition, our therapists will take the time to understand your needs and tailor a treatment plan to optimise your recovery.

Physiotherapy can help with a wide range of injuries and conditions including back and neck pain, repetitive strain injuries, joint pain and arthritis, muscle injuries, post-surgery rehabilitation and sports injuries. Our physiotherapists help people from Winchester, Eastleigh, Andover and Southampton, as well as those who travel from further to take advantage of our expertise and equipment.

Your physiotherapy session will be unique to you, we build a tailored exercise programme focused on your individual needs. This will be developed during your first session. Our treatment programmes take a holistic approach to your health, considering many aspects of your well-being, including how you move, the factors that make your symptoms better or worse, and your individual goals for getting better.

Your physiotherapist will teach you a range of exercises during your appointments, and you'll be expected to complete your programme at home, too. How often you perform your exercises and the kind of equipment you will use will depend on your treatment plan, but your physiotherapist will ensure you are able to perform your exercises safely and properly before doing them on your own. Our experts will ensure you have the right equipment and have mastered the techniques behind your exercises before you perform them without your physiotherapist.

Accessing physiotherapy with us is easy. We aim to offer you an appointment within 48 hours of receiving a referral. Referrals can be from your GP, consultant, or another healthcare practitioner (including an NHS physiotherapist).

You can also self-refer for physiotherapy at Sarum Road Hospital, however if you are using your private health insurance your provider will usually require a GP referral.
