Fast access to diagnostic tests
You will have access to a range of diagnostic tests, with results typically returned within 48 hours. The range of tests available include blood tests, X-rays, CT, and MRI scans.
A second opinion
If you are living with a health problem or have symptoms you are unsure about, it can be reassuring to get a second opinion. Our private GPs are highly experienced in general medicine and have the time (as well as access to hospital facilities) to make a thorough diagnosis.
Immediate referrals
Your private GP will be able to refer you to a course of treatment as soon as possible. This can be crucial when serious conditions are found.
Am I covered by my private medical insurance?
Although your medical insurance may cover private GP appointments, you must initially pay for your appointment and then seek reimbursement from your insurance provider. It is essential to verify the reimbursement process directly with your insurer.
What happens if I need to be referred to a consultant or I require further tests?
Should you need to be referred to a consultant or for any diagnostic investigation such as blood tests or x-rays, there is no obligation to use Goring Hall Hospital services. You have the choice to proceed with your care under your NHS GP and we can forward a letter onto them with our recommendations of referral to a consultant or for diagnostic tests.
If you would like to continue your care with Goring Hall Hospital we have most diagnostic facilities on site and in most cases investigations can be carried out on the day or within a week. Results are normally available within a week. On average you are able to see a consultant within a few days of your appointment.
