About us

Goring Hall Hospital opened in 1994 and is part of Circle Health Group, the UKs largest independent healthcare provider. Located on the sunshine coast of Worthing in Sussex, the hospital serves West Sussex and beyond offering a wide range of services from diagnostics to surgery across multiple specialities which includes Orthopaedics, General Surgery and Ophthalmology.
Over 120 consultants practice privately from the hospital and are supported by caring and professional multidisciplinary team members including our 24-hour Resident Medical Officers. Consultants undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigations to complex surgery within a friendly, safe and comfortable environment.

Our Orthopaedic Centre of Excellence benefits from a large team of consultant experts who cover joint replacement for hips, knees, shoulder and ankle.

Our dedicated Ophthalmology suite, offers expert diagnostics and premium lenses for Cataract Surgery.

Appointments for most specialities are available within 48 hours and are arranged at a time to suit you, whether that be during the day or in the evening. We see patients on both an insured and self-pay basis, those with private medical insurance should check their policy details with their provider prior to attending any appointments.

We accept referrals from GPs, Optometrists, Physiotherapists and other Consultants. You can also self-refer for the majority of our services.

From the moment you contact the hospital our staff are here to help and you will be greeted with a friendly smile. We provide information and reassurance about your diagnosis and treatment and whether you are attending as an outpatient or being admitted for surgery, our staff and processes are designed to put you at ease.

Goring Hall Hospital is located halfway between Brighton and Chichester situated close to the A259 within 2 miles to the centre of Worthing and a quarter of a mile from Goring railway station. It can easily be reached from the A24 and A27.

    • An Overview of the facilities at our hospital 

      At the Goring Hall Hospital, we have access to modern equipment and private facilities for patients across Sussex which covers areas such as Worthing, Pulborough, and Horsham.
      Goring Hall Hospital has 52 registered beds. Situated within extensive beautiful grounds with great views of the sea and an elegant courtyard. The building was previously a residential hall but has been an established hospital site for over 25 years.

      Goring Hall Hospital attracts over 120 consultants who are assisted by a Resident Medical Officer, to provide 24-hour medical cover.

      The hospital is equipped to the highest standards. With the skilled specialist staff, we can undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigation to complex surgery.

      Our consulting suite comprises 6 consulting rooms, Ophthalmic suite, 3 pre-assessment clinic rooms, and a physiotherapy unit.

      There are 3 main theatres 2 of which have been installed with lamina flow (clean air filter system). A JAG accredited endoscopy suite and outpatient treatment room are used for day case and outpatient procedures. Most patients will initially recover in our recovery unit however dependent on the type of anaesthetic some patients may recover within their bed area.

      Our diagnostics and imaging department include digital X-Ray, MRI, mobile CT, and ultrasound. Our diagnostics and imaging team will guide you so that you can access these services as quickly as possible at a time that suits you.

      Room service is provided to all inpatient and day-case patients by our catering team. Our chef creates daily special menus, to ensure that patients have a variety of choices to support their nutritional needs. All dietary needs can be catered for.
