About Mr Jeethendra Rao
Personal Profile
Mr Rao is dual degree qualified as a dental surgeon and a medical doctor, UK Board Certified in Cosmetic Facial Plastic and a GMC specialist in Maxillofacial surgery. His NHS Consultant practice is at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Mr Rao’s sub-specialty interest is in the management of head and neck skin cancer and facial plastic reconstruction. He has also undertaken a JCST Approved Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship in the UK, and is a UK Board Certified Facial Cosmetic Surgeon, on the official UK intercollegiate register of cosmetic surgeons. He is able to offer a full range of facial procedures, including custom 3D facial implants, and other procedures often unique only to maxillofacial surgeons. Where relevant he offers patients 3D facial simulations prior to cosmetic related surgery.
With a passion for medical and dental education, Mr Rao holds such posts in his NHS hospital and as a Training Programme Director. He proactively keeps up to date with the latest developments in his specialty and cosmetic surgery, and holds ‘UK Board Certification in Facial Cosmetic Surgery’ registration. He enjoys attending conferences/online learning on the latest trends and techniques.
