About us

Located on Birkby Hall Road in Huddersfield, Huddersfield Hospital has been serving the community since the 1980's when it first opened its doors as a care home. Now part of the UK’s largest independent healthcare provider, Circle health Group continue to invest in the Hospital having undergone recent renovations to patient facing areas.
The Hospital serves Calderdale and Kirklees and surrounding West Yorkshire, offering a wide variety of services such as Orthopaedic surgery, General and Cosmetic surgery amongst other services.

Over 50 consultants practice privately from the hospital and are supported by caring and professional medical staff including 24-hour Resident Medical Officers. Consultants undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigations to complex surgery within a friendly, safe and comfortable environment.

Appointments are arranged at a time to suit you, whether that be during the day or in the evening. We see patients on both an insured and self-pay basis, those with private medical insurance should check their policy details with their provider prior to attending any appointments.

You can self-refer for a majority of our services without the need for a referral from your GP.

From the moment you contact the hospital our staff are here to help. We provide information and reassurance about your diagnosis and treatment and whether you are attending as an outpatient or being admitted for surgery, our staff and processes are designed to put you at ease.

BMI Healthcare is proud to have joined forces with Circle Health Group in January 2020. Huddersfield Hospital is currently benefiting from a major £250m national investment programme in facilities, technology and people.
