We understand that it can sometimes be difficult to see your GP outside surgery hours, or that occasionally you may need more time to discuss your concerns.
Your private GP aims to provide you with exceptional and convenient ways to look after your health, and can provide services if you are unable to see your regular GP, would like more time to discuss your health concerns, or are in need of a second opinion.
This service is provided within a modern, fully equipped hospital enabling fast access to diagnostics; including blood tests, x-rays and scans, and immediate referral to consultants and specialists at the hospital if necessary.

Appointments are £80.00 for a standard 30-minute consultation for new patients. Follow-up consultations are £50.00.
Although appointments are unlikely to be covered by your private medical insurance, further investigations or referrals following on from your appointment may be covered (please check with your insurance company).
If you need to be referred to a consultant or require further investigations (blood tests, X-rays, ultrasound or MRI scan) you are not obliged to use The Huddersfield Hospital services. Should you wish to continue your care under your NHS GP, with your consent, a letter will be sent to them outlining our recommendations for any further investigations or referral to a consultant of their choice.
If you choose to continue your treatment at The Huddersfield Hospital, in most cases investigations can be carried out either on that day or the following day, with results available within 72 hours, and you can usually see a consultant within a few days of your appointment.
