How to get to us and find the hospital

Southend Private Hospital is situated in Westcliff-on-Sea and is a suburb of Southend-on-Sea. It is situated on the northern bank of the Thames Estuary and is approximately 34 miles (55 km) east of London.

Take Junction 29 off the M25 and head towards Southend on the A127.

At Kent Elms Corner (Essex Motors is on your left hand side) take the outside lane in preparation for turning right at the next slip road, sign posted to Southend NHS Hospital.

This road leads into Westbourne Grove (A1158). Follow the signs to Southend NHS Hospital along Prittlewell Chase, but go past the hospital until you reach the end of Prittlewell Chase (junction with Fairfax Drive).

Southend Private Hospital is the last building on the left hand side, next to the Vehicle Test Centre.

You can also reach the hospital by travelling along the A127, this leads into Prince Avenue. At Cuckoo Corner round-a-bout take the 3rd exit onto Victoria Avenue, at the traffic lights just past Priory Park turn right into Fairfax Drive. The hospital is approximately 50 yards on the right hand side with the entrance to the car park before the building.

There are frequent trains to Southend on C2C and First Great Eastern - C2C to Southend Central and First Great Eastern to Southend Victoria.

Visitors can then take any of the following buses to the Hospital: 7, 8, 20, 21, 25, 25C or 25E. These buses stop at St Mary's Church Prittlewell and Prittlewell Chase both of which are 5 minutes walk to the Hospital (please see location map). Southend Central bus station is a 5 minute walk from the train station behind Marks and Spencers and Southend Victoria is opposite the station in the underpass.

Arriva and First Thamesway operate the following bus services to Southend Private Hospital 7, 8, 20/20C, 21A/21B, 25, 29, 407. All the bus stops are local to the hospital and on arrival via bus, you will be able to see the hospital on the corner of Prittlewell Chase and Fairfax Drive.
