Circle Reading Hospital has been providing a calm, modern healthcare environment to people from Reading, Wokingham, Newbury and beyond since August 2012. Our patients tell us that visiting our private hospital in Reading feels more like arriving at a 5-star hotel than a clinical setting. Our 30 private ensuite bedrooms have been thoughtfully designed to provide the ideal environment for your recovery. Every room includes a walk‑in shower, free Wi‑Fi, a TV, and hotel‑standard furnishings to ensure comfort and privacy. With unrestricted visiting hours and free onsite parking, we make your stay as smooth and stress‑free as possible.

Our Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is on‑site 24 hours a day to ensure continuous medical support and peace of mind throughout your stay.

When you visit Circle Reading Hospital, you can park on site for free. If you block another car in when parking in one of our red bays, please let our staff know at the front desk and provide your name and number, so that we may contact you, should you need to move your vehicle.

At Circle Reading Hospital, we offer free parking to patients and visitors. Please note that the car park can get extremely busy, so please arrive in plenty of time before your appointment. If you are using sat nav please use the postcode RG2 0GQ. This will direct you to the Hilton Hotel. Circle Reading is approximately 100 metres further down Drake Way. The entrance to the hospital and car park is on the left behind the building.

From the M4: Exit at Junction 11 onto the A33 towards Reading. Continue on the A33 (straight over 3 more roundabouts) until you pass the Green Park Business Park at the third roundabout. Continue on the long straight section of the A33 until you see the large green sign to Kennet Island. Move into the right hand lane before the traffic lights and turn right into Kennet Island. Then take the first right off Lindisfarne Way onto Drake Way. Go past the Hilton Hotel. You will then see the Circle Reading building on your left. The entrance to the hospital and car park is on the left beyond the building.

From Reading: Take the A33 out of Reading Town Centre, towards the M4. Continue on the A33 until you come onto a long straight section and you see the large green sign to Kennet Island. Turn left at the traffic lights into Kennet Island. Then take the first right off Lindisfarne Way onto Drake Way. Go past the Hilton Hotel so that it is on your right and continue past it. The entrance to the hospital and car park is on the left beyond the building.

Circle Reading is served by local bus routes to Drake Way (the bus stop is Kennet Island Piazza opposite the Hilton Hotel), 40, 41, 50A, 50E and 51A.

The hospital is also conveniently located close to the Park and Ride at nearby Madejski Stadium.

You will need to call the hospital you have booked your appointment with. To do this, you can find the phone number to your hospital on your appointment letter.
Please call the hospital where the patient is admitted, press zero for switchboard, and they will transfer your call to the patient’s room, or put you in touch with a nurse or a ward.
Yes, our hospitals have free WiFi access for our patients and visitors.
Once your appointment is booked, you can request to receive a confirmation email or letter with all the necessary information. To find the confirmation email, please search your email inbox for any message from [email protected].

You will also receive a text reminder 48 hours prior to your appointment with all the details you need. Please note that this will not be sent if the appointment is booked within 48 hours of the appointment date.
All insurance policies are different but generally take-home medication and equipment are not covered under most standard policies. We always recommend checking with your insurer as to whether they will reimburse the cost of these items and if not, you can either purchase these from your local pharmacy or from the pharmacy here at Circle Reading Hospital, there will be a cost for these.
You may be able to reclaim the cost directly from your insurer. We recommend checking your policy or contacting your insurer to confirm. If needed, we’re happy to provide a receipted invoice after payment to support your reimbursement claim.
No. NHS exemption certificates apply only to NHS-issued prescriptions. Medications issued privately through Circle Reading Hospital are not covered under this scheme.

  Circle Reading has 30 private inpatient bedrooms. Each bedroom is furnished to a high standard with an en-suite walk-in shower room. The rooms in our Reading hospital all have a TV as standard and there is also complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hospital.
