About Mr Tim Crook

Personal Profile

Mr Tim Crook’s Hand and Wrist practice includes the treatment of arthritis, nerve compression syndromes, Dupuytren’s Disease, Tennis Elbow, and Complex Hand, Wrist and Elbow Trauma.

Mr Tim Crook qualified from Southampton University Medical School in 2000. He undertook his Higher Surgical Training in the Wessex region, obtaining Fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2009. Mr Crook has worked with some of the world’s leading Upper Limb experts. In 2010, he travelled to Sydney, undertaking an internationally renowned Hand and Wrist Fellowship for one year.

He was awarded a Travelling Bursary from the British Society for Surgery of the Hand in support of this. He returned to the UK to commence a Consultant post at Dorset County Hospital in July 2011.

Mr Crook has published extensively with research interests including Tennis elbow, Wrist Arthritis and Tendon Surgery. He has presented work Internationally in America, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and many parts of Europe.

He has a particular interest in Upper Limb Sport Injuries having completed a Post graduate Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine and is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons’ Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine. Tim will also see patients who need hand, wrist and elbow surgery, Upper Limb Surgery, Sports Injuries, Trauma surgery and collagenase injections for Dupuytren's disease. He was associated with the medical team at Portsmouth Football Club during their 2008 FA Cup winning season.
