About us

At The Harbour Hospital we have access to modern equipment and private facilities for patients in Poole, Bournemouth, Dorset and the surrounding areas.

The Harbour Hospital has 30 beds with all rooms offering the privacy and comfort of en-suite facilities, broadband and TV.

In addition, electrically operated beds have easy to reach handsets enabling patients to operate light switches and adjust bed positions at the touch of a button. 

Meals are freshly prepared from our daily à la carte menu and cater for all dietary requirements.

The hospital has 3 theatres, 8 consulting rooms, a comprehensive physiotherapy department, as well as a dedicated MRI, CT, X-ray and Ultrasound imaging centre and 24 hour inpatient doctor cover. Please note our services are open to patients over the 18 only.

We also have a resident medical officer (RMO) who is available 24 hours a day to ensure that patients are safe and cared for at all times. Should your care needs change following surgery or treatment, we may need to transfer you to another hospital. This will either be to an NHS or another Circle hospital. Transfers of care only take place when absolutely necessary.

The hospital is situated in the centre of Poole, approximately 5 miles from Bournemouth off the A348, and provides private treatments and services for patients in Poole, Bournemouth, Dorset and the surrounding areas.

The hospital is 5 minutes walk from the Town Centre with regular Taxi and Bus services.

Follow the signs from the Town Centre for Poole NHS Trust Hospital - The Harbour Hospital is just opposite in St Marys Road, next to Poole Hospital's Maternity Unit.

 

Train

The nearest Rail Link is Poole Station on the London (Waterloo) to Weymouth line.

The hospital is 5 minutes walk from the Town Centre with regular Taxi and Bus services.

    You will also receive a text reminder 48 hours prior to your appointment with all the details you need. Please note that this will not be sent if the appointment is booked within 48 hours of the appointment date.
