Mr Harris is a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Croydon University Hospital (formally known as Mayday) and St George’s NHS Trust. Mr Harris qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1996.
Please note that at his private practice at Shirley Oaks Mr Harris only sees Adult patients.
He was awarded Bachelor of Science with Honours in Anatomy and Molecular Genetics from an intercalated course and research work in 1993. He trained in surgery on the Hammersmith Hospitals rotation before specialising in ENT. He received specialist registrar training in South West Thames, with the hub at St George’s Hospital and finishing at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children.
During his training, he was awarded a Masters degree in Audio-Vestibular Medicine by the University of London for a detailed study of, and a major thesis in balance and hearing disorders of adults and children at the Institute of Child Health; and gained Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow and was placed on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council.
He was awarded a number of highly prestigious scholarships to support overseas Fellowships at two of the most internationally respected centres in their field: in Otology and Cochlear Implant surgery in Sydney, and in Paediatric ENT in Paris. He is now a surgeon with the St George’s Cochlear Implant Programme.
Mr Harris works closely with his colleagues to deliver a friendly, personalised, professional high level of care for adults, and children and their families. Married with 2 daughters, he enjoys running and participates in voluntary humanitarian ear surgery camps in the most remote communities of Nepal.
