About Mr Rizwan Arshad

Personal Profile

Having completed his Orthopaedic Surgical training in Yorkshire, Mr Rizwan Arshad went on to undertake a world-renowned specialist fellowship at Sheffield Children’s Hospital and Chesterfield Royal Hospital. There, he gained advanced expertise in paediatric, adolescent and adult knee problems, with a particular focus on soft tissue reconstruction. During this time, he learned novel techniques for ligament reconstruction in young patients who still have growth remaining. Mr Arshad has also contributed to a number of academic publications, reflecting his commitment to research and ongoing development within the field.
 
Clinical Interests

  • Teaching – I am the Consultant Educational Supervisor For Trainees at ELHT and also an examiner for the Chesterfield FRCS course
  • Research – I have contributed to book chapters, written peer reviewed articles and presented research at international conferences
  • Leadership – MSK lead at ELHT
