Mr Pranab Sinha, UK born, internationally fellowship trained surgeon specialises in personalised Hip and Knee replacements, ACL reconstructions, Key hole Knee Surgeries (repairing/removing meniscus), Knee cap (patellar) surgery and Joint preservation surgery. He firmly believes in enhanced recovery after surgery and tried and tested rehab (exercise protocols) to achieve the best outcomes.

Training
Practising since 2009. He achieved Honours in his Anatomy BSc before obtaining his medical degree from Guy’s King’s and St Thomas’ medical school. His training was developed and shaped by multiple Eminent Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeons in numerous prestigious hospitals in South East England/London and internationally (Johannesburg & Sydney). He furthered his expertise by undertaking the Complex Trauma fellowship at the major trauma centre - King’s College hospital, London and the Hip and Knee replacements (including Computer-Assisted and Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery) / Sports Knee Injury Surgery Fellowship with the renowned Professor S. MacDessi in Sydney. Here, he honed his skills and now uses the latest evidence and research to provide his patients bespoke aligned Knee and Hip Replacements, as well as keyhole (arthroscopic) Knee Surgery for torn meniscus and ACL reconstruction, Patellar Surgery and Joint preservation techniques.
NHS Practice and Teaching
Mr Pranab Sinha’s NHS consultant practise is based at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and he is a highly regarded member of the team and an innovative leader who engages effectively and enthusiastically with patients and colleagues. Previously, as Clinical Governance Lead, he conducted quality improvement projects that instituted real change by reducing at risks issues and improving effective patient care. Further, he is passionate about teaching and training. He regularly supervises trainee surgeons and examines for the FRCS courses.
Research and Academia
Mr Pranab Sinha’s clinical practise is rooted in his extensive research experience – he has authored over 16 scientific paper publications, has written book chapters in the book entitled ‘The Hip Joint’ and has presented in numerous international/national orthopaedic forums.
He was awarded a distinction in his MSc Thesis looking into Knee Replacements. Further, he was previously awarded certificates as an Associate Principal Investigator at King’s College Hospital and is currently one of the co-Principal Investigators for a national study involving Kneecap instability.
Personal Note
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Sinha has two sons who keep him busy. He enjoys racquet sports, generally keeping active and exploring diverse cultures.
His personal experiences with joint and muscle pain in his family have deepened his understanding of the impact of these ailments, fuelling his passion for transforming patient lives through medical intervention.
