Mr Patrick Watmough is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Beaumont Hospital in Bolton and The Beardwood Hospital in Blackburn. He specialises in foot and ankle surgery.

Additionally, also he works at the Royal Bolton Hospital. His specialist interest is surgery of the lower limb, in particular, foot and ankle surgery. He also regularly performs hip and knee joint replacement surgery.

He graduated from Dundee University in 1996, during which time he took a year out to study Forensic Medicine. After this, he undertook his higher surgical training in the North West of England. He became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1999, and then an intercollegiate fellow in 'Trauma and Orthopaedics' in 2005. He was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Surgical Training in 2008.

Mr Watmough was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Royal Bolton Hospital in January 2009. During his last year of training, he undertook a fellowship in 'Foot and Ankle Surgery' at Wrightington. Here, he worked closely with one of the co-designers of modern ankle replacements.
