He subsequently completed the internationally recognised fellowship in Sydney with Dr David Wood, President of the Australian Knee Society, focusing on ligament reconstruction and patellofemoral instability surgery.
Mr Templeton-Ward spent 10 years as a consultant at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, specialising in both knee trauma and elective knee surgery. Since 2026, he has moved into full-time private practice, working between Guildford and Marylebone in Central London.
Alongside his clinical practice, he is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Surrey Medical School.
Mr Templeton-Ward’s research interests include enhanced recovery and rapid rehabilitation following ACL reconstruction and knee replacement surgery. He was a local principal investigator for the nationally based ACL SNAAP trial coordinated through the University of Oxford.
