Mr Srinivasan began his orthopaedic surgery practice in East Lancashire in 1996 after completing a fellowship in Upper Limb, Hand and Wrist at Wrightington Hospital. He won the Ethicon fellowship, the travelling fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons and the AO advanced fellowship to the US, where he trained under world-renowned surgeons in Tampa, Florida at Harvard University, The Barnes and Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Loma Linda University, LA and the Mayo Clinic, Rochester.
Mr Srinivasan joined Blackburn Royal Infirmary as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 1996. He established the Upper Limb Service Centre at the Royal Blackburn Hospital in 1998. He is a designated trainer of arthroscopic shoulder, elbow and hand surgery, has been an examiner of the Intercollegiate Board of Examiners for Royal College of Surgeons in FRCS (Tr & Orth) from 2006 for Intercollegiate MRCS, and also been an overseas examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons since 2001. Mr Srinivasan served as a Clinical Director of Orthopaedics from 2004-2007 for Blackburn Royal Infirmary and was the President for the Indian Orthopaedic Association (UK) from 2004-2007.
He graduated from Bangalore Medical College and received his MS (Orth) in Orthopaedics in 1982, where he also completed his orthopaedic surgery residency. He received his fellowship in General Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons (Glasgow). He further specialised in orthopaedics in the Manchester rotation and received his fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery from the Intercollegiate Board of Trauma and Orthopaedics in Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 1996.
