About Koushik Ghosh

Personal Profile

Mr Ghosh qualified from University College Hospital, London in 2004. His orthopaedic training was locally within Sussex and Surrey. Having focussed primarily on lower limb surgery he undertook an international fellowship at the North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre. This focussed his academic and clinical interest in sports related and ligamentous knee injuries. He then undertook a year long fellowship at the Exeter Knee Reconstruction Unit where he developed skills with primary and revision knee replacement. He was a  locum hip and knee consultant at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey before being appointed as a substantive consultant at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.

Mr Ghosh is passionate about his patient related outcomes and developing local care and services. He carefully monitors his National Joint Registry results and is currently pioneering a Worthing based acute knee clinic alongside local musculoskeletal physiotherapists. He has trained and mentored numerous registrars on the Kent, Surrey and Sussex rotation and takes an active role to educate juniors on the latest orthopaedic research, standards and evidence which he uses to guide his own practice. He sees patients from Worthing, Pulborough, Horsham and beyond the Sussex area.
