About Jodie Knowles

Personal Profile

Jodie qualified with a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Bradford in 2004. She began her career in the NHS gaining experience across all aspects of physiotherapy before specialising as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist in 2007. As part of this role she worked in outpatients, gym, pain management, arthroplasty clinics, hydrotherapy and hand therapy. Jodie joined the private sector in 2014 and came to Huddersfield Private Hospital in 2018 in the role of Senior Physiotherapist, she became the Clinical Services Manager in 2021. 

Jodie has post graduate training in Foundation Acupuncture, Level 1 Hand Therapy, patient moving and handling training and is a qualified Clinical Pilates instructor. As part of her current role she treats post-surgical patients including those who have just undergone shoulder, hand, hip and knee procedures and a range of patients with musculoskeletal problems. Jodie adopts a holistic approach to treatment and combines hands on therapy with exercise prescription with the aim to empower patients to feel confident in self-management of their condition. 

Outside work Jodie is a keen road and trail runner and has started participating in triathlons. She enjoys yoga, walking, reading, travelling and attending live sporting and music events.
