An initial assessment with a physiotherapist starts from £54*, with no need for a GP referral.
You'll have a one-to-one introductory session with one of our chartered physiotherapists. You'll have a full assessment and your goals and expectations will be discussed. During this session you'll also learn the basic principles of Pilates. Following your assessment, you will continue to work on a one-to-one basis with your physiotherapist. We also offer group Pilates sessions if you prefer.
Pilates works by training the muscles to function as they naturally should. If you've been suffering with aches and pains, it could mean that some muscle groups have been over or under-performing, which can affect your posture and movement, and lead to pain or injury. The idea behind Pilates is to retrain the correct muscles to help restore alignment, balance, strength and flexibility.
Pilates can be suitable for many people, regardless of age or fitness level. Your physiotherapist will establish if you have any special requirements we need to consider and tailor the session to meet your needs.
A typical course of group sessions is six, however individual sessions may vary depending on your goals. You will learn the basic principles, which will allow you to continue your exercises at home in the long term.
