As well as providing care throughout pregnancy, delivery, and the post-natal period to women with both straightforward and complicated pregnancies, Mr Chilcott treats women with a wide variety of gynaecological problems. He has a special interest and specialised skills in gynaecological surgery, including keyhole surgery, and is an expert at performing such procedures as laparoscopic, open and vaginal hysterectomy.
The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a large district general hospital with a busy Obstetrics and Gynaecology department where 5000 babies are born each year and where Mr Chilcott is one of the senior Consultants. There he has a varied workload that includes out patient clinics in gynaecology, and an antenatal clinic. He has three gynaecological operating lists per week, and a labour ward session. Practising in a busy NHS hospital enables him to maintain and continue to develop skills in all aspects of care of pregnant and non-pregnant women.
Mr Chilcott also has extensive experience in writing medico-legal reports on a wide variety of cases in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
