About Mr Chinedu Chianakwalam

Personal Profile

Chinedu graduated in 1980 and undertook specialist training leading to the FRSCI in 1990. Following research in the application of Artificial Neural Networks in Breast Cancer Prognosis he was awarded an MSc degree by the University of Kent in 2004. He is on the General Medical Council specialist register. He is a Consultant at the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Trust.

Chinedu has vast experience in the management of breast cancer and benign breast disease and several publications and presentations at meetings. He is interested in the genetic profiling of breast cancer, sentinel node biopsy and the development of community breast care services.

He has a special interest in the open tension-free mesh repair of hernias and day case surgery.
