Professional Profile

I work as an orthopaedic consultant with specialist interests in lower limb arthroplasty, sports medicine, limb reconstruction and certain aspects of hand surgery.

After completion of my basic orthopaedic training, I have furthered my knowledge in sports medicine having completed an MSc at Nottingham university. As part of treating sports injuries I have looked after various national and international athletes.

I have also completed two fellowships in Melbourne, Australia in the fields of paediatric orthopaedics and limb reconstruction.

I have established a centre of excellence at my hospital for navigated knee replacements. I have visitations from national and international surgeons who come and observe this specialised way of doing knee replacements where computer guided surgery is used for accuracy. I teach at international level regularly on courses for navigated knee replacement surgery.

Being interested in the running of the hospital, I have been the clinical lead for the MSK business unit and an executive board member of the hospital for three years.

Personal Profile

I have always been interested in sports having participated in national level tournaments for hockey and basketball. Nowadays I enjoy a game of golf with friends. My other interests include travelling and exploring the culinary diversity around the world.
