Mr Anshul Sobti is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon based at The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, London. He specialises in all aspect of adult Hip & Knee surgery and Paediatric Orthopaedics. He strives in delivering excellent care , whether it be a child, young adult, or those with advanced arthritis.
Mr Sobti studied Medicine in Mumbai, India and completed his core Orthopaedic training and fellowship at P D Hinduja National Hospital, Mumbai. He further maximised his exposure and Orthopaedic training with fellowships in the UK at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospital, The Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Stanmore and Chelsea Westminster Hospital, London. He is fellowship trained in complex trauma, Hip and Knee replacement and Paediatric Orthopaedics.
Currently he is the Trauma Director at Hillingdon Hospital and the Clinical Governance lead for the Orthopaedic service. He has spearheaded multiple clinical improvement projects, demonstrating his commitment to improving patient safety, efficiency, and outcomes. He believes in a patient centred approach and is an advocate of shared decision making.
He specialises in Hip and Knee replacements, Sports injuries, Keyhole Knee Surgeries (repairing/removing meniscus), Kneecap (patellar) surgery and Joint preservation surgery. He also manages Paediatric conditions affecting upper and lower limbs including hip, knees, foot and ankle. He specializes in paediatric and young adult and adult fractures, sports injuries, paediatric limb deformities and gait disorders.
Mr Sobti has a strong commitment and role in education and research at undergraduate and post-graduate level. He engages continuously in improving pathways for patients care through research. He is the Principal Investigator for PICBONE (NIHR) study at Hillingdon Hospital. He is also the Orthopaedic Module and Musculoskeletal Block lead for medical students at Brunel Medical School, at Hillingdon Hospital. He has presented in numerous national and international scientific proceedings and has published extensively in peer reviewed journals.
