Mr Ahmed Ibrahim is a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon based in Nottingham and Leicester. He is a substantive Consultant at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and offers private consultations and surgery across the East Midlands.
Mr Ibrahim has completed extensive fellowship training spanning aesthetic surgery, oncoplastic breast surgery, breast reconstruction and microsurgery. His practice combines reconstructive expertise with advanced cosmetic surgery techniques, allowing him to deliver natural-looking results while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and patient care.
After graduating from medical school, Mr Ibrahim completed specialist training in Plastic Surgery in Egypt and the United Kingdom before undertaking a series of advanced fellowships and subspecialty training programmes in reconstructive, breast and aesthetic surgery.
Mr Ibrahim's specialist interests include advanced facial aesthetic surgery, particularly deep plane facelift, neck lift, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, facial fat grafting and facial rejuvenation procedures. He is passionate about achieving elegant, natural-looking outcomes that enhance facial harmony whilst preserving each patient's individuality and avoiding an over-operated appearance.
In addition to facial aesthetic surgery, he has extensive experience in cosmetic breast surgery, including breast augmentation, breast uplift (mastopexy), augmentation-mastopexy, breast reduction, implant exchange procedures, breast implant removal and correction of breast asymmetry. His reconstructive breast background provides a detailed understanding of breast anatomy, aesthetics and long-term outcomes, enabling him to approach cosmetic breast surgery with both artistic judgement and surgical precision.
Mr Ibrahim also offers a comprehensive range of body contouring procedures, including abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), liposuction, arm lift (brachioplasty), thigh lift, post-weight-loss body contouring and fat transfer procedures. He believes that successful body contouring surgery should achieve balanced, proportionate and natural results whilst tailoring treatment to each patient's individual goals and anatomy.
Alongside his cosmetic practice, Mr Ibrahim remains highly active in reconstructive surgery and breast cancer care. He is fellowship trained in both microsurgery and oncoplastic breast surgery and is involved in complex reconstructive procedures following breast cancer treatment and trauma. He also maintains a specialist interest in lymphatic reconstruction and the surgical management of lymphoedema, helping to develop innovative reconstructive services within the NHS.
As a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, Mr Ibrahim is actively involved in training the next generation of surgeons and regularly participates in education, teaching and professional development activities. He remains committed to evidence-based practice and continuously updates his skills through national and international courses, cadaveric workshops, and conferences.
Patient-centred care is at the heart of his practice. He believes every treatment plan should be tailored to the individual, with a strong emphasis on honest advice, clear communication and shared decision-making. His aim is to provide safe, evidence-based treatment and natural-looking results that help patients feel confident and comfortable in their own appearance.
Mr Ibrahim is listed on the General Medical Council Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery (GMC No. 7686731) and is a full member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS), the leading professional association representing consultant plastic surgeons in the United Kingdom.
