About us

This hospital offers day care treatment for a range of specialties including pain management and ophthalmology and has access to high dependency unit facilities, a radiology and physiotherapy department, three theatres, five consulting rooms and 29 beds.

All of our bedrooms offer privacy and the comfort of full ensuite facilities with a bath or shower.

Patient care is undeniably our first concern. Our dedicated nursing staff provide professional care within a friendly and comfortable environment, helping to ensure that coming into hospital is a more pleasurable and less anxious time for you and your family. Our primary concern is your safety and peace of mind.

***Temporary Change to Parking Arrangements***

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Shelburne Hospital car park is temporarily unavailable. Parking spaces have been allocated for our patients within the Wycombe General Hospital car park and permits are available from our Reception Desk.

The main entrance to the Shelburne Hospital can be accessed from stairs leading from the turning circle next to allocated spaces.

Please contact us if you have any questions and, if you have mobility issues, please call us before your visit on 01494 888700 and we will be able to guide you to an alternative route for easier access to the hospital.

  • From the M40 motorway junction 4, take the A404 into High Wycombe. At the bottom of Marlow Hill turn left at the mini roundabout into Queen Alexandra Road. Turn left into Wycombe Hospital and follow the signs for The Shelburne Hospital.
  • From M40 motorway junction 3, take the A40 into High Wycombe. From Queen Alexandra Road, turn left into Wycombe Hospital and follow the signs for The Shelburne Hospital.
  • From the M4 motorway junction 8/9, take the A404 into High Wycombe. At the bottom of Marlow Hill turn left at the mini roundabout into Queen Alexandra Road. Turn left into Wycombe Hospital and follow the signs for The Shelburne Hospital.

High Wycombe Railway Station is approximately ten minutes walk from The Shelburne Hospital, or a 3-4 minute ride by taxi.
