About us

Kings Oak Hospital is located in Enfield, North London, along with its sister hospital Cavell Hospital.

We offer a wide range of services and treatments at our Enfield hospital including: Oncology, Paediatrics, Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery, Orthopaedics and Gynaecology. This expertise is supported by caring and professional medical staff, with dedicated nursing teams and Resident Medical Officers on duty 24 hours a day, providing care within a friendly and comfortable environment.

We have a purpose-built outpatient suite, with its own dedicated entrance accessed directly from the car park. You can benefit from a relaxing calm environment that is reflected in the individualised patient care and surroundings. The hospital is accessible 24 hours a day, and we will make all necessary arrangements to assist your GP with your admission, including contacting an appropriate consultant.

Kings Oak Hospital, Enfield has 47 beds. With immediate access to nursing support via the call system our primary concern is your safety and peace of mind.

We also have a resident medical officer (RMO) who is available 24 hours a day to ensure that patients are safe and cared for at all times. Should your care needs change following surgery or treatment, we may need to transfer you to another hospital. This will either be to an NHS or another Circle hospital. Transfers of care only take place when absolutely necessary.

GOOGLE MAP

Car

From the M25, exit at junction 24, taking the A111 exit towards Potters Bar. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto The Ridgeway/A1005.  Continue along The Ridgeway/A1005 and turn left into Chase Farm Hospital.

At the main entrance of Chase Farm, follow the signs to The Kings Oak Hospital. 

From the North Circular A406 coming from the West at Great Cambridge roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A10. Turn left into Southbury Road A110 and continue to follow this road through Enfield Town Centre, following the signs for Potters Bar, pass Enfield Chase Station on the left and at the roundabout at the top of the hill turn right onto The Ridgeway A1005. Continue ahead past Uplands Park Road and go straight on at the roundabout. Then take the 1st right signposted Chase Farm, continue to follow the directional signage to The Kings Oak Hospital. 

From the East A406 at Great Cambridge roundabout take the third exit and continue as above. 

Train

From London Moorgate/Kings Cross and Finsbury Park there are trains operated by First Capital Connect, which will take you to Enfield Chase Station. From there you can catch a bus 121,307 or 313 or take a taxi. 

Bus

Route 313 (Potters Bar to Chingford via Enfield Town) stops at Chase Farm Hospital. Follow the signposts to The Kings Oak Hospital.

Tube

Piccadilly line (northbound) to Oakwood, from there you can catch a bus, 121 or 307 to Chase Ridings. Alternatively there are taxis available at Oakwood Tube Station.

  • Please call the hospital where the patient is admitted, press zero for switchboard, and they will transfer your call to the patient’s room, or put you in touch with a nurse or a ward.
  • Yes, our hospitals have free WiFi access for our patients and visitors. 
  • Once your appointment is booked, you can request to receive a confirmation email or letter with all the necessary information. To find the confirmation email, please search your email inbox for any message from [email protected].

    You will also receive a text reminder 48 hours prior to your appointment with all the details you need. Please note that this will not be sent if the appointment is booked within 48 hours of the appointment date.
