The JAG accredited private endoscopy suite at Goring Hall Hospital is home to high quality facilities that include a procedures room and a recovery area, for patients based in Worthing, Pulborough, Horsham, Chichester, West Sussex and beyond.
Private endoscopy refers to a fast-access service for investigating the inside of the human body. There are different types of endoscopy procedures which are used depending on the type of examination.
An endoscope (thin optical camera) is used to look inside a hollow organ or cavity of the body. This is a natural opening such as the mouth to examine the upper digestive system, or back passage to examine the colon. An endoscopy examines the digestive tract and can also be used to gather tissue samples for testing. An endoscopy procedure shouldn’t feel painful, but patients can experience some discomfort. A sedative can be offered to help patients who experience discomfort to help them relax.
The unit has a relaxed and welcoming feel. Patient treatment is provided by specialist consultants and a team of experienced, friendly and professional nurses who are trained in all aspects of endoscopy nursing and are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care.
We are a multidisciplinary team and work with the following consultant specialists, gastroenterologists, general and colorectal surgeons who cover a wide range of procedures.
Together, our team always aims to provide exceptional service and support to patients and their families.
