About us

At Chelsfield Park Hospital we have access to modern equipment and private facilities for patients in Kent, Bromley, Orpington and Sevenoaks.

Chelsfield Park Hospital has 36 beds with all rooms offering the privacy and comfort of en-suite facilities, satellite TV and telephone. The hospital has 2 lamina flow theatres and 1 minor operating theatre. There is a 2 bedded enhanced recovery area.

Chelsfield Park Hospital have recently invested £4.5 million into a brand new state of the art imaging department which includes MRI, X-Ray, Ultrasound and Mammography scans. These facilities, combined with the latest in technology and on-site support services, enable our consultants to undertake a wide range of procedures from routine investigations to complex surgery. This is supported by caring and professional medical staff, with dedicated nursing teams and Resident Medical Officers on duty 24 hours a day, providing care within a friendly and comfortable environment.

There is immediate access to nursing support via the call system. Our outpatient department has access for some specialties to 'same day' diagnostics, so all undertaken at one visit. 

At our Kent hospital there are few restrictions on visiting hours and visitors can join patients for morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. Menus change daily.

Our supportive on-site Physiotherapy team are ready and willing to assist outpatients and recovering inpatients.

We also have a resident medical officer (RMO) who is available 24 hours a day to ensure that patients are safe and care for at all times. Should your care needs change following surgery or treatment, we may need to transfer you to another hospital. This will either be to an NHS o another Circle hospital. Transfers of care only take place when absolutely necessary

Car

From the M25:
Leaving the M25 at junction 4, take the 2nd exit at the first roundabout. At the next roundabout take the 4th exit (A224), signposted to Orpington. Continue past the Chelsfield Lakes Golf Club on the left, take the first turning right onto Church Road. This leads into Bucks Cross Road. Pass the children's play area on your left, Chelsfield Park Hospital is then a further 200 yards on the second left (do not go down the private drive). Parking is available close to the hospital entrance; an overflow car park is available to the left of the driveway entrance.

From the A20:
On leaving the A20 take the A224 and follow signs to Orpington, without entering the town centre. Proceed along the A224 towards Sevenoaks, passing a BP garage on the right. Continue for approximately one mile where Chelsfield Park Hospital will be signposted to the left. Turn left into Church Road and continue into Bucks Cross Road where the hospital can be located approximately 100 yards after the turning for Skibbs Lane.

Train

For those travelling from central London, Orpington train station is conveniently accessible from Charing Cross, London Bridge and Victoria stations. A taxi would be necessary to take you from Orpington train station to the hospital. Although closer to the hospital, Chelsfield station has no taxi or convenient public transport facilities nearby.

Bus

Chelsfield Park Hospital can also be accessed via the bus R7 which provides a service every 30 minutes to the hospital.

  • Please call the hospital where the patient is admitted, press zero for switchboard, and they will transfer your call to the patient’s room, or put you in touch with a nurse or a ward.
  • Yes, our hospitals have free WiFi access for our patients and visitors. 
  • Once your appointment is booked, you can request to receive a confirmation email or letter with all the necessary information. To find the confirmation email, please search your email inbox for any message from [email protected].

    You will also receive a text reminder 48 hours prior to your appointment with all the details you need. Please note that this will not be sent if the appointment is booked within 48 hours of the appointment date.
