Our staff involved in direct patient care carry out regular Lateral Flow Testing.
Upon entry to our hospitals, we may ask patients and visitors to wear a medical face mask (unless exempt), sanitise their hands, and confirm that they don’t have any COVID-19 symptoms and are not currently testing positive for COVID-19.
Our visiting details for inpatient and daycase settings can be found in our Guides below.
Visitors to sites in England and Wales do not require a negative Lateral Flow Test. Due to devolved Government guidance, inpatient and daycase visitors in Scotland are still required to provide evidence of a negative Lateral Flow Test, taken within the previous 24 hours.
Thank you for your support and understanding as we maintain these controls across our hospitals.
We will discuss the relevant requirements for any pre-admission testing and isolation with patients to be admitted for an operation under General Anaesthetic.
