Mr Hamed completed his medical education at Damascus University. He undertook a comprehensive foundation and surgical training in the West Midlands. He further enhanced his expertise as a Clinical Research Fellow at the world-renowned Wrightington Hospital and subsequently earned a Master’s degree in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
During his higher surgical training in the North West of England (Manchester rotation), Mr Hamed gained extensive experience in complex trauma and orthopaedic procedures. He achieved fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Surgical Training in Trauma and Orthopaedics (CCT). He later undertook a post-CCT fellowship at Wirral University Teaching Hospital, where he developed advanced skills in managing complex primary and revision hip and knee replacement surgeries, as well as uni-compartmental knee replacement.
Dedicated to practicing evidence-based medicine, Mr Hamed has an impressive academic portfolio, including numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international conferences. His commitment to education extends to teaching and mentoring surgeons in training, having been recognised by the General Medical Council as both a clinical and educational supervisor.
Outside of his clinical work, Mr Hamed enjoys spending time with his wife, an Emergency Medicine doctor, and their young daughter. He believes that family life enriches his perspective as a surgeon and strengthens his dedication to improving the quality of lives of his patients.
