About Yasser Diab

Personal Profile

Mr Yasser Diab is an experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, where he plays an active role not only in patient care but also in training the next generation of surgeons. Alongside his NHS work, he runs a private practice at The London Independent Hospital in East London and Mount Alvernia Hospital in Guildford, offering personalised, compassionate and patient centred care in a comfortable and supportive environment.

Mr Diab undertook extensive specialist training across the South East Thames region, gaining broad clinical experience in both obstetrics and gynaecology. His career includes four years in senior positions at Guy’s and St Thomas’, where he served as a Senior Registrar, Senior Clinical Fellow and Locum Consultant. These roles enabled him to develop advanced clinical expertise and a strong foundation in managing complex gynaecological conditions.

He has a particular interest in early pregnancy care, including the management of recurrent miscarriage and complications in early gestation. His practice also covers a wide range of reproductive health and general gynaecological concerns, such as pelvic pain, abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids and subfertility. Mr Diab sees patients for most gynaecological issues, with the exception of colposcopy, incontinence and high‑risk pregnancy, ensuring that those within his care receive focused, specialist attention.

In addition to his clinical interests, Mr Diab has completed advanced training in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, hysteroscopic surgery and gynaecological ultrasound. These skills allow him to offer minimally invasive diagnostic and surgical options, supporting faster recovery, reduced discomfort and more precise treatment planning.

Mr Diab is widely regarded for his calm, approachable manner and his commitment to clear communication. He is dedicated to providing evidence‑based, patient‑centred care, ensuring that each individual feels informed, supported and confident in their treatment journey. His combination of specialist expertise, advanced surgical training and dedication to teaching makes him a trusted and respected clinician within both the NHS and private practice.
