Mr Nabi completed his higher surgical training in Trauma and Orthopaedics on the prestigious Royal London Hospital Rotation, one of the largest trauma networks in Europe. This provided exceptional experience in managing both routine and complex trauma cases, as well as early exposure to advanced joint reconstruction techniques. He then went on to complete two internationally recognised fellowships in lower limb surgery. At Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, he developed expertise in robotic and computer-assisted joint replacement surgery, while at Barts Health NHS Trust he gained further specialist training in complex hip and knee replacement, revision surgery, sports knee injuries and osteotomy procedures.
His clinical interests include:
Mr Nabi believes in tailoring treatment to each individual patient. For some, this may mean non-surgical options such as injections, physiotherapy, or joint preservation surgery; for others, it may involve advanced joint replacement techniques. His aim is always to restore function and quality of life, using the latest evidence-based treatments. He has a particular interest in robotic-assisted and computer-navigated surgery, which can improve accuracy and outcomes in joint replacement procedures.
Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Nabi is passionate about teaching and training the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons. He has taught medical students, junior doctors, and senior trainees across multiple NHS hospitals, delivering both hands-on surgical training and formal teaching sessions. Patients benefit from this academic approach, as he stays up to date with the latest research and surgical advances.
He has presented his work nationally and internationally, and has contributed to research in hip and knee surgery, including outcomes in robotic surgery, revision strategies, and recovery pathways. Within the NHS, he plays an active role in service development and quality improvement projects, aiming to streamline patient care and improve results.
Patients describe Mr Nabi as approachable, thorough, and clear in his explanations. He takes time to ensure that every patient understands their diagnosis, treatment options, and what to expect from surgery or rehabilitation. His focus is on delivering excellent surgical outcomes combined with compassionate care.
Whether treating an athlete recovering from a ligament injury or a patient seeking relief from arthritis, Mr Nabi brings the same level of expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to achieving the best possible outcome.
