Mr Thomas Finnigan is a highly esteemed Consultant Specialist Knee Surgeon based in Manchester and Wimslow. He provides a comprehensive range of knee surgeries. His areas of expertise include knee osteoarthritis and knee replacement, including partial knee replacement. He Specialises in soft tissue injuries around the knee including ligament, meniscal and cartilage injuries.

Mr Finnigan strongly believes in a patient-specific approach and prides himself on tailoring treatment options to each of his patients and their needs. He takes time to understand their needs, concerns and goals. He works closely with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans that promote optimal recovery and long term outcomes. Mr Finnigan completed hiss pre-clinical studies at Cambridge University before graduating with a distinction at Manchester University. He completed further surgical training in the North West Deanery. Mr Finnigan was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust in 2019. 

Mr Finnigan also uses The VELYS™ surgical system. This is an innovative robotic tool that aids the consultant during the knee replacement surgery, allowing for greater accuracy and precision that isn’t possible with traditional knee replacement techniques.
