Suzi Hutt qualified from First Faculty of Medicine, Charles’ University, Prague in 2010 and completed her foundation postgraduate training in North England. She went on to complete Obstetrics & Gynaecology training within Kent, Sussex and Surrey hospitals.
She obtained her Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) membership in 2016.
Miss Hutt has completed a Clinical Research Fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology, which also included robotic surgery training. She has completed advanced training modules in Benign Gynaecological Surgery and Advanced Labour Ward Practice.
Suzi has published widely in international medical journals. She has also spent a significant amount of time in research, focussing on endometrial cancer. Endometrial cancer starts as a growth of cells in the uterus. The uterus is the hollow, pear-shaped pelvic organ where the foetus grows during pregnancy.
Endometrial (or uterine) cancer begins in the layer of cells that form the lining of the uterus, called the endometrium. It is often found at an early stage because it causes symptoms like irregular vaginal bleeding. If endometrial cancer is found early, surgical removal of the uterus often cures it.
Suzi's main clinical interest is in gynaecological oncology, a medical specialty that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of cancers and other conditions of the female reproductive system.
She offers fast-track diagnoses of general gynaecological problems. She performs surgical procedures like hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, open and laparoscopic hysterectomy, treatment for fibroids, removal of ovarian cysts, treatment of endometriosis and pelvic adhesions, endometrial ablation and vulval procedures.
Having trained in minimal access and open gynaecological surgery, including treatment of gynaecological cancers, Miss Hutt also offers advanced laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for early-stage endometrial cancers and ovarian cysts.
In addition, she can advise and treat endometriosis, pelvic pain, heavy periods and fibroids. Suzi is accredited by the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) for colposcopy procedures that examine the cervix for cell changes. She offers outpatient and day case colposcopic assessments as well as treatments for cervical abnormalities.
