Originally from Dublin, Mr. Brennan embarked on his medical training in Scotland, where he honed his skills and expertise. His educational journey included additional training periods in Melbourne and South Africa, allowing him to gain a global perspective on surgical practices. He also worked at the world-renowned centre of excellence at the MATTU Centre in Guildford.
Practice
Mr. Brennan currently practices with the Circle Health Group, operating out of multiple prestigious locations. His private practice allows him to focus on specialised surgical care and offer his patients the highest standards of treatment.
Clinical Interests
Mr. Brennan specialises in treating a variety of conditions related to the gastrointestinal system, with a particular focus on Upper GI and Laparoscopic Surgery. His particular area of expertise is in keyhole removal of gall bladders for which he has a very low complication rate with less than a 0.5% conversion rate to open procedure and a 0% bile duct injury rate. This type of procedure is usually carried out as a day case with patients returning home the next day.
Mr. Brennan has a rich and diverse professional background. His previous roles include serving as an MRCS examination tutor with the Royal College of Surgeons, highlighting his commitment to education and mentoring the next generation of surgeons. He is also a fully trained advanced trauma life support instructor.
Personal life
Outside of work, Mr. Brennan has many talents and interests. He holds a private pilot’s licence and a black belt in American Kenpo karate. He has also completed the London triathlon, and is currently training for an Iron Man competition. He enjoys sharing these hobbies with his young daughter, Caitlin. Mr. Brennan lives locally in Beckenham with his family and is married to a consultant paediatric surgeon at the Evelina Hospital.
