Personal Profile

Simon qualified as a physiotherapist from Coventry University in 2009, having previously undertaken a Sports Science degree in 2002. In 2021 he graduated from the University of Birmingham with an MSc in Advance Manipulative Physiotherapy, leading to professional membership with the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). Simon started as an NHS physiotherapist for five years. However, a keen interest in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy led to sporting and private environment employment, working with elite level athletes, from U9 to first-team level, in Association Football for an Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP) level 1 football club since 2012. He has additionally worked as a physiotherapist at the 2014 Glasgow and 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games with elite international athletics/track and field, Netball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Para Table Tennis, Weightlifting and Para Powerlifting athletes. Simon has worked in the private sector for BMI Healthcare, now Circle Health Group, since 2014, becoming Therapy Outpatient Lead for musculoskeletal outpatients at our Circle Rehabilitation site Birmingham in 2021.
