About Mr Simon Garrett

Personal Profile

Mr Simon Garrett graduated from Southampton Medical School in 1998, completing both his basic and higher orthopaedic surgical training in the Wessex region.

After Specialist Registrar training, he undertook two specialist Hip & Knee Arthroplasty fellowships in Perth, Western Australia in 2008/9. This was under the supervision of Prof David Wood and Prof Piers Yates.

Mr Garrett was appointed as a Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant at Dorset County Hospital in 2010, where he specialises in hip and knee surgery. He carries out all aspects of hip and knee surgery treating a number of conditions as below.He is one of the few surgeons around the area that performs advanced techniques in Hip Arthroscopy (keyhole hip surgery) including labral repair.
