After Specialist Registrar training, he undertook two specialist Hip & Knee Arthroplasty fellowships in Perth, Western Australia in 2008/9. This was under the supervision of Prof David Wood and Prof Piers Yates.
Mr Garrett was appointed as a Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant at Dorset County Hospital in 2010, where he specialises in hip and knee surgery.
