About Mr Selva Theivacumar

Personal Profile

Mr Theivacumar qualified from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in 1999. He undertook a research degree on minimally invasive varicose veins treatment and completed MD degree from the University of Leeds.

He received vascular training from Yorkshire and London including the King’s College Hospital and St Thomas Hospital, London. He is trained in both open vascular and endovascular techniques.

His special interest includes minimally invasive treatments of varicose veins, aortic aneurysms, intermittent claudication and surgical management of TIA's and stroke prevention. His special interest in vascular surgery includes endovascular and open repair of aortic aneurysms, carotid endarterectomy, peripheral bypass surgery for ischaemic legs and modern treatment of varicose veins and DVT.
