Mr. Sarosh Janardanan is a Consultant Urologist at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he holds several senior leadership roles, including Lead Clinician for Cancer Services in the Trust, Specialty Cancer and Robotic Lead, Speciality Cancer Multidisciplinary Team Chair, and Postgraduate Education Lead for Urology. He is also a Visiting Consultant Urologist at the Royal Surrey County Hospital and a core member of the BSGE-accredited CEMIG team, contributing to the multidisciplinary management of complex endometriosis at Ashford and St Peter’s.
His clinical practice focuses on robotic surgery for pelvic malignancies, particularly bladder and prostate cancer. In addition, he has broad expertise across core and general urology, encompassing cancer diagnostics, endourology, stone disease, benign prostatic surgery, and inguino-peno-scrotal procedures. His work reflects a strong commitment to minimally invasive techniques and high-quality, patient-centred care.
Mr. Janardanan obtained his medical degree from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in 2006. He subsequently completed postgraduate training in General Surgery at Government Medical College, Kottayam, where he was awarded Best Postgraduate Student in the MS General Surgery exit examination. He further refined his surgical skills through advanced training in minimally invasive surgery under the mentorship of Padmashree Professor K. P. Haridas in Trivandrum, Kerala.
His urological training progressed at Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Foundation Trust, where he developed extensive experience in core and general urology. He later completed a Robotic Fellowship in Pelvic Oncology at the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. During this fellowship, he achieved certification from the European Robotic Urology Society (ERUS) through its structured modular training programme, reflecting a high level of proficiency in robotic urological surgery.
With over 18 years of clinical experience, Mr. Janardanan combines advanced surgical expertise with a strong academic profile. He has published widely in the field of urology, with a particular focus on robotic urological surgery, and remains actively involved in clinical research, service development, and postgraduate medical education.
