About Sam Alsammoua

Personal Profile

Mr Alsammoua has a total of 20 years’ experience in Gynaecology.  He originally qualified in 1998 and worked in the UK (Northern Ireland, Scotland and England) and overseas. He obtained his specialist training in Glasgow University Hospitals. His career included training in General Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Urogynaecology and Advanced Training in Gynaecological/Laparoscopic Surgery and management of Cancer. He is a Consultant Gynaecologist in (University Hospitals Sussex NHS foundation Trust), Worthing and Southland Hospitals. He is the lead clinician for Gynaecology Cancers in Worthing Hospital where he runs the Gynaecology Fast track/One Stop clinics and chairs the Gynaecology Multidisciplinary Meetings.

He is also chair of the Sussex Gynaecological Tumour Group and the lead for Gynaecology risk management.

His practice encompasses all aspects of Gynaecology. Mr Alsammoua’s particular interest is in Complex and Laparoscopic ’keyhole’ Gynaecological Surgery, Colposcopy and Gynaecological cancers (Screening, diagnosis and treatment). He is the lead clinician for Gynaecology Cancer in Worthing Hospital where he runs the Gynaecology Fast track/One Stop clinics and chairs the Gynaecology Multidisciplinary Meetings.
