Dr. Salim Jivanji is a highly skilled and compassionate paediatric cardiologist with over 13 years of experience in diagnosing and managing congenital and acquired heart conditions in children. Known for his dedication to personalised, evidence-based care, Dr. Jivanji has earned a reputation for clinical excellence in treating complex cardiovascular conditions from infancy through adolescence.

He completed his medical degree at the University of Sheffield, followed by paediatric residency training in Sydney, Australia, and London, UK. Driven by a passion for paediatric cardiology, he undertook advanced subspecialty training at both the Royal Brompton Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital, where he developed expertise in non-invasive and invasive diagnostic techniques, including echocardiography, advanced cardiac imaging and cardiac catheterisation.. He further completed a fellowship in Congenital Interventional Cardiology at Evelina Children’s Hospital, focusing on minimally invasive treatment of congenital heart defects.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Jivanji is actively engaged in research, with interests in congenital heart disease, interventional cardiology, developing cardiac services in LMICs. His work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, and he is a regular speaker at both national and international conferences in paediatric and congenital cardiology.

Dr. Jivanji is committed to improving outcomes for children with heart disease through a multidisciplinary approach that combines innovation, compassion, and close family engagement. Recognised for his empathetic and approachable communication style, he supports families through every step of the diagnostic and treatment journey.

Dr. Jivanji also serves as a trustee of Healing Little Hearts, a charity that sends paediatric cardiac teams to resource-limited regions around the world to provide life-saving heart surgery and help establish sustainable local heart centres. He is also part of the board MyMoyo a US based charity which specialises in developing CHD care in sub-Saharan Africa.
