Dr Riyad Al Karoudi is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist with a strong background in cardiovascular medicine and over two decades of clinical expertise. He is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with a wide range of heart conditions.

Dr Al Karoudi earned his medical degree (MBBCh) from Tripoli Medical School in 1996. He began his postgraduate training in the United Kingdom in 2000, completing core medical training in general medicine and its subspecialties across the West Midlands. In 2004, he became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), marking a key milestone in his medical career.

Pursuing his passion for cardiology, Dr Al Karoudi undertook specialist training across East Anglia, Cambridge, and East Kent. He further advanced his academic credentials with a Postgraduate Diploma in Cardiology from Brighton University in 2013. In recognition of his professional excellence and contributions to the field, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) in 2017.

Dr Al Karoudi is a dedicated cardiologist with a broad range of clinical expertise. His special interests include:

  • Heart Failure Management – Providing comprehensive care for patients with heart failure, focusing on improving quality of life and long-term outcomes
  • General Cardiology – Offering expert evaluation and treatment for a wide spectrum of cardiovascular conditions
  • Coronary Angiography – Skilled in diagnostic procedures to assess coronary artery disease.
  • Cardiac CT Imaging – Utilizing advanced imaging techniques for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Cardiac Device Therapy – Implantation and follow-up care for pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs)

He also manages conditions such as:

  • Ischaemic heart disease
  • Hypertension
  • Arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter
  • Syncope (fainting and unexplained loss of consciousness)
