As the Clinical Lead for Breast Reconstruction at her NHS trust, Miss Taghizadeh plays a central role in developing high‑quality breast reconstructive pathways. She is also the National Chair of the Breast Special Interest Group within the British Association of Plastic Surgeons and serves on the BAAPS Council, contributing to national standards in cosmetic surgery. Internationally, she represents the UK as Assistant National Secretary for the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS).
Miss Taghizadeh completed her medical degree at Dundee University Medical School before undertaking specialist plastic surgery training at the Northern Deanery in Newcastle. She further advanced her expertise through prestigious fellowships in microsurgery at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital, oncoplastic surgery, and aesthetic surgery at the Wellington Hospital, London, alongside international fellowships in Barcelona, Helsinki, Düsseldorf and Singapore.
Her NHS practice focuses on microsurgical breast reconstruction, DIEP flap reconstruction, and complex breast corrective procedures, including asymmetry and tuberous breast deformity. Combining technical precision with an empathetic approach, she guides patients through their treatment journey with clarity, confidence and compassion.
Miss Taghizadeh has published over 30 peer‑reviewed articles, is widely invited as an international speaker, and holds educational leadership roles within ISAPS, including membership of the Residents Teaching Committee. She also contributes to global surgical safety as part of the ISAPS Patient Safety Advisory Group for breast surgery.
